The Emporia City Commission will essentially hold two meetings in one Wednesday evening.
The first will be the commission’s regularly scheduled action meeting. Items on the agenda include a public hearing for an application to KDHE on the State Water Revolving Fund.
The commission will then adopt a resolution for said application.
Also Commissioner’s plan to adopt a resolution of intent for the Citizen’s National Bank and Preston Plaza and Lofts project.
After the action session concludes the commission will then move into their annual business meeting. The main action item will be to elect the Mayor and Vice-Mayor for the coming year.
Unless the current Mayor is re-elected the new Mayor will conduct the remainder of the business meeting. Other items will include approving Surety Bonds for City Manager, City Clerk and City Treasurer, designation of financial institutions and appointment of representatives to local boards and committees.
The meeting begins Wednesday at 7 pm in the Municipal Courtroom at White Auditorium.
