An earthquake near the Kansas-Oklahoma border south of Wichita jostled some residents in the KVOE listening area Tuesday night.
A magnitude 4.5 quake happened just after 9:30 pm near Caldwell. The quake, originally listed as a magnitude 4.0 event, was almost a mile below the surface.
Moderate shaking was reported near the epicenter. Across the KVOE listening area, light shaking was reported in Emporia, Council Grove and Strong City.
No damage has been reported in the KVOE listening area. Damage reports near the epicenter are pending.
