The Emporia State mens track team finished 2nd and women 3rd at the Central Missouri Invitational Friday with a automatic qualifier for nationals and school record.
Individually Corey McLoud had a great day winning the long jump with a school record leap of 25 feed 1.25 inches which is a automatic qualifying mark for nationals.
Emporia State had 9 2nd place finishes.
Men 2nd place finishes:
Brandon Rhone in the 400 meter dash.
Murad Baheyadeen in the 800 meter run.
Xavier Hall in the 60 meter dash.
4×400 relay of Hayden Goodpaster, Parker Evans, Murad Baheyadeen and Brandon Rhone.
Women 2nd place finishes:
Hannah Shield in the 200 meter dash.
Kelsey Graber in the 600 yard run.
Leah Nelson in the 800 meter run.
