Trial in a stabbing case from last year is fast approaching.
Hayward McKoy is set for his final pretrial hearing at 4 pm Wednesday. He’s facing charges of aggravated battery and interference with law enforcement after allegedly stabbing another man at Emporia’s IHOP parking lot in August and allegedly fleeing the scene. The stabbing victim was treated and released shortly after the incident.
Trial is supposed to begin Monday in Lyon County District Court.
