A major milestone is now in the rearview mirror as the United Way of the Flint Hills continues its annual fundraising campaign.
Director Jami Reever says the drive is now at $500,000 — so closing in on the $555,000 goal.
Reever thanked the community and drive chair Vicki Brooks for the success of the drive so far, and she says “we’re not done yet” with one major business campaign and several smaller campaigns turning in their donations in the coming weeks.
The drive benefits over 20 community partners in Lyon County, surrounding counties and Woodson County.
Plans for the annual campaign celebration are under development. A date has not yet been announced.
