One person was transported to Newman Regional Health after a two-vehicle accident in Central Emporia Thursday afternoon.
Emporia Police and EMS were called out to the intersection of 4th Ave and Mechanic shortly after 2:40 pm for a reported injury accident. for currently unknown reasons, two vehicles a car and SUV collided in the intersection.
The car sustained damage to the front end while the SUV sustained damage to the driver side door. One person was taken from the scene by ambulance further details are pending. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
