Emporia’s Granada Theatre has a big birthday party coming next month. And you’re invited.
Director Aden Lindholm encouraged the community to stop by the theater for activities Feb. 10.
Lindholm says the idea has evolved as planning has continued.
Activities start at 6 pm with the formal program starting at 7 pm. The event is free and open to the public. Donations are encouraged. Folks can also reserve tables at $40 or a seat at a table for $15. Proceeds go to both the Granada and Emporia High’s theater department.
The theater has a busy month in February. Tickets are going quickly for the Lyle Lovett-John Hiatt concert Feb. 13, and an interactive screening of the movie “Grease” is planned for Feb. 16.
