The Lyon County History Center is inviting all residents to come celebrate the birth of our state this weekend.
The third annual Kansas Day Birthday Bash is taking place Saturday at the History Center. History Center Executive Director Greg Jordan joined Wednesday’s Newsmaker to share the list of activities taking place.
The History Center will be teaming up with both Cradle to Career and Parents as teachers for the event.
The History Center also has plans heading into February for a new and unique event for the community. On Feb. 7 the center will be hosting their first ever Emporia History Pop up Museum. The event is a cooperative project between the Lyon County History Center and Village Elementary.
More information on that event will be coming at a later time.
The Kansas Birthday Bash will get underway at the History Center Saturday starting at 10 am and will run until 11:30 am and is free and open to the public. For more information contact the Lyon County History Center by calling 620-340-6310.
