The Emporia State womens basketball team out scored Missouri Southern by 20 points in the 2nd on the way to a 76-61 win over Missouri Southern Saturday.
The Lady Hornets trailed 38-33 at halftime and turned it on in the 3rd quarter out scoring the Lions 25-10. They would take a 10 point lead into the 4th quarter and built it to a 17 point lead. Coach Toby Wynn was pleased with the way the Lady Hornets responded in the 2nd half.
Jessica Wayne led the offense scored a game high 16 points. She also finished with 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots.
Addie Lackey and Tyra Jones both scored 14 points. Tiana Moala finished with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 blocked shots. The Lady Hornets are now 14-5 for the season and 5-4 in the MIAA. They will host Lindenwood Thursday.
