Emporia State University can once again claim a near-perfect placement rate as the college remained steady at 98 percent.
This is a huge feat for ESU as this will be the second year that the school has stood at 98 percent. ESU President Allison Garrett talks about this accomplishment.
The term ‘placement rate’ is now transitioning into the phrase ‘career outcome rate’ as it is being deemed more accurate. June Coleman, Director of Career Services at ESU, discusses the oncoming change.
As an effort to maintain and increase their annual career outcome rate, certain programs are stepping up their efforts in implementing discussing life after college with students, Coleman says. Some of these programs are freshman seminar classes, internships, and capstone classes.
