Lyon County District Judge Jeff Larson will sit in with the Kansas Supreme Court next week.
Larson has been appointed to sit with the high court to hear oral arguments in one case, Corvias Military Living LLC and Corvias Military Construction v Ventamatic LTD and Jakel Inc., as part of the court’s Jan. 31 docket. The case started when a military housing developer filed a product liability action against the maker of a bathroom ceiling fan that allegedly caused two house fires at a complex in Fort Riley.
An Emporia native, Larson graduated from Emporia State University and the Washburn School of Law.
The case will be heard shortly after 9 am Wednesday and can be watched online at www.kscourts.org. Larson will also join justices after the hearing for deliberations and decision drafting.
