Bitter temperatures are expected to hang around through midweek.
Air temperatures have been on the decline throughout most of the day Monday. Wind advisories are currently in effect for Lyon and all surrounding counties until 6 pm this evening (M).
Conditions are not expected to improve much into Tuesday and Wednesday according to TV-13 Meteorologist Jeremy Goodwin.
Already there has been one schedule adjustment for Tuesday:
*Emporia Senior Center has canceled Tuesday bingo.
Conditions are expected to begin improving by Thursday however, with high temperatures around freezing. Friday’s high should be in the mid-40s and we could get above 50 for the weekend.
