Westar Energy is alerting some communities in the KVOE listening area about a planned outage coming later this week.
Westar has said it will have a planned outage from just after noon to around 3:30 pm Friday. The outage will impact Hartford, Neosho Rapids, Waverly and BETO Junction. This work will also affect customers served by Lyon-Coffey Rural Electric and other utility cooperatives in the area.
System maintenance is the stated reason. Westar spokesperson Gina Penzig will join Wednesday’s Newsmaker 2 slot at 8:20 am with more details.
