Pretrial hearings are on the docket Wednesday as a pair of notable criminal cases move toward trial.
Amanda Alvarado and Jeremy Massey face trial Monday in separate and unrelated cases. Both have final pretrials at 4 pm in Lyon County District Court.
Alvarado is one of five defendants in a drug distribution case that came to light in September. She faces charges of distributing stimulants and child endangerment.
Massey is accused of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy and breach of privacy after allegedly having sex with a person incapable of giving consent and allegedly using an unspecified recording device.
