The Emporia State softball team has been picked 8th in the MIAA Coaches Preseason poll.
Washburn is the top pick followed by Central Oklahoma, Central Missouri, Northwest Missouri State, Missouri Western, Northeastern State, Lindenwood.
After Emporia State its Pittsburg State, Missouri Southern, Nebraska Kearney, Fort Hays State, Southwest Baptist and Lincoln.
Emporia State returns 10 players from last years team that won the MIAA post season tournament.
