A preliminary hearing is on the docket for late next month in the case of a woman who allegedly hit a second woman with her car over the weekend.
Ryan Michelle Shepherd made her first appearance in Lyon County District Court on Wednesday for single charges of aggravated battery, aggravated witness intimidation and driving while suspended. Judge Doug Jones set her preliminary hearing for 3 pm Feb. 20. Attorney Stuart Symmonds was appointed to represent her.
Shepherd is accused of using her car to hit Ashley Everly as part of an altercation Sunday in Hartford. Everly suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Shepherd allegedly left the scene and was arrested in Coffey County.
If convicted on all counts and sentenced consecutively instead of concurrently, Shepherd could spend over six years in prison.
