Thick fog has developed south and southwest of Emporia.
The National Weather Service has a dense fog advisory posted for Chase and Greenwood counties until noon. Visibility is expected to be a quarter-mile or less at times.
In addition, the fog could lead to patchy slick spots on area roads and sidewalks until temperatures climb past freezing.
If driving, slow down. Use your low beam headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
