Julius Jackson scored a team high 30 points leading the Emporia State men to a 85-68 win over Lindenwood Thursday night.
Jackson connected on 5 of 10 3 point shots.
As a team Emporia State made 12 threes. Hassan Thomas added 17 points and 12 rebounds. Kooper Glick and Kam Rowan both scored 11 points. The Hornets used a 20-5 run in the first half to take a 8 point lead in the first half. They led 42-38 at halftime. Lindenwood would go on a 8-3 run to start the 2nd half. Emporia State would answer with a 10-0 run to take a 9 point lead. The Hornets closed out the game with a 14-3 run to seal the win. Coach Craig Doty said the defensive effort was outstanding.
The Emporia State men are now 8-11 for the season and 3-7 in the MIAA. They will host Lincoln Saturday.
