Thick fog is now in place for most of the KVOE listening area.
The National Weather Service has issued several dense fog advisories. Lyon, Coffey, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee counties are involved in two separate advisories, although both end at noon. Chase and Greenwood counties are now in separate advisories ending at 11 am.
Visibility is already down to about a quarter-mile, and it could be reduced even further in some spots until late Saturday morning. If you encounter fog, slow down, use low-beam headlights, and leave lots of distance between you and other drivers.
