Two Minnesota men suffered minor injuries after a crash in Coffey County on Saturday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says a pickup driven by 50-year-old Pedro Sanchez Medina of Glencoe, Minn., was southbound and went into the median for currently unknown reasons near mile marker 156, nearly 30 miles northeast of Emporia and near the BETO Junction exit, around 7:45 am. The truck then came back onto the highway, where it rolled and slid before stopping.
Both Medina and a passenger, 20-year-old Robert Medina of New Germany, Minn., were taken to Coffey County Hospital in Burlington for suspected minor injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Southbound I-35 was blocked temporarily but has since reopened.
