The Emporia State baseball team wrapped up play in the Edmond First pitch Invitational Sunday with a 15-5 loss to Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Southwestern broke a 2-2 tie with 8 runs in the top of the 2nd inning. They added 5 runs in 8th and the Hornets could never catch up.
Emporia State opened the Invitational with a 2-1 loss in 10 innings to Lubbock Christian. and Saturday lost 3-2 in 10 innings to Southeastern Oklahoma State. The Emporia State baseball team is scheduled to play their home opener Friday against Metro State.
