The Lebo Wolves and Lady Wolves overcame fast starts by Lyndon to pick up a doubleheader sweep on the Area Game of the Week Monday.
The Lebo Lady Wolves came back from a first-quarter deficit to pick up a 50-38 win over the Lyndon Lady Tigers in the girl’s game.
Lebo would utilize a 19-7 run in the second quarter to take a 26-17 lead into halftime. In the third, Lyndon would manage to tie the game 33-33 before a 17-5 run in the fourth would seal the win for the Lady Wolves.
Lebo Head Coach Taylor Lambdin says his team bounced back well from the slow start.
Lebo was led in scoring by freshman Abby Peek with 11 points. Lyndon was led by junior Brooke Addelman with 18 points.
Lebo now improves to 6-10 on the season while Lyndon falls to 4-13.
In the boy’s game, Lebo would again overcome first-quarter deficit to defeat Lyndon 58-52.
Lyndon would lead by two at the end of the first before the Wolves would use a 15-10 run in the second to carry a three-point lead into the locker room. Lebo would then lead by eight at the end of the third and were able to hold on for the six-point win.
Lyndon would come within four but could never overtake the lead.
Lebo Head Coach Dwayne Paul says it was an ugly game but they found a way to win.
Lebo was led in scoring by sophomore Devan McEwen with 21 points, Sophomore Luke Detweiller led Lyndon with 19 points.
With the win, Lebo now improves to 13-3 on the season while Lyndon falls to 3-14.
