Emporia High swimmers cut times in the prelims at State Friday.
Steve Clausen finished in 28th place in the 200 free but cut over 1 second from his seed time. The 200 free relay team of Steve Clausen, Andrew Wendling, Mason Harmon and Max Piper finished in 21st place but cut 2 seconds off their seed time.
Reed Slayden goes into the diving finals in first place. Garyn Fisher is in 12th place.
