An Americus woman was taken to Newman Regional Health after an accident involving a vehicle and semi in Coffey County Friday morning.
According to the Highway Patrol crash log, a 2014 Kenworth Semi driven by 23-year-old Preet Joban Singh of Indianapolis Indiana was travelling southbound on I-35 and took the exit to US Highway 75. Singh failed to stop at a stop sign on U75 and was struck on the left rear by a northbound Toyota passenger car driven by 55-year-old Rebecca Wells of Americus.
Wells was taken to Newman Regional Health with suspected minor injuries, Singh was not hurt.
Both individuals were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
