The Hartford Lady Jaguars dominated both ends of the court en route to a 54-27 win over the Madison Lady Bulldogs in first round regional play Monday.
Hartford’s defense would keep Madison from scoring inside the arc with all of the Lady Bulldog’s first-half points coming from three-point range. In the second half, Hartford would build on their 13 point halftime lead with a 26-12 second-half run to advance to the second round of the Olpe Regional.
Coach Ryan Thomas says his team needs to continue to execute their game plan through postseason play.
Hartford was led in scoring by junior Bailey Darbyshire with 18 points and freshman Kiernan Breshears with 16. Madison was led in scoring by senior Emily Farrow with 13 points.
With the win, Hartford advances to face the winner of Marmaton Valley and Waverly Thursday.
