Kansas State went on a 19-2 run in the 2nd half to break a 42 all tie on the way to a 65-51 win over West Virginia Monday night.
Before the run there were 6 ties and 5 lead changes in the game. Barry Brown led the way with a game high 21 points. Xavier Sneed added 19 points and Dean Wade finished with 10 points.
The Wildcats hold onto first place in the Big-12 Standings. Saturday they host Oklahoma State.
The Kansas Jayhawks are ranked 12th in both the AP and USA Today Coaches mens basketball polls this week. Kansas State is ranked 23rd in the AP poll and 21st in the Coaches poll.
Duke, Gonzaga, Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee are the top 5 teams in both polls.
Also out of the Big-12 Texas Tech is ranked 14th in both polls and Iowa State is ranked 19th in the AP poll and 20th in the Coaches poll.
