The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for two counties in the KVOE listening area.
Morris and Wabaunsee counties have been placed in a winter storm watch from Saturday afternoon to Saturday evening.
According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected to begin Saturday afternoon and will begin changing over to snow by the evening hours. Snow is expected to rapidly accumulate in the evening hours causing slick and possibly hazardous road conditions.
Heavy snowfall and blizzard-like conditions are possible with total snow accumulations of 2-6 inches also possible. Blowing snow may also great reduce visibility on roadways.
