One man has been arrested after a short chase Friday morning.
Police Sgt. Lisa Sage says the chase developed as officers were trying to find 22-year-old Omar Uribe for unspecified warrants. Once located in southern Emporia, Uribe allegedly ran from officers and hid in a garage. A resident saw Uribe in the garage and let officers know. Uribe was then arrested and taken into custody.
Formal charges are pending.
