The State High School wrestling tournaments begin Friday morning. Emporia High will have 9 wrestlers competing at State.
Anthony Delgado is making his 4 trip to state.
Senior Drew Baker is coming off a 2nd place finish at regionals.
Junior Whitney Hall was a 3rd place finisher at regionals.
Brooks Sauder, Levi Buckridge, Efren Palomares, Ethan Garate, Isaac Huber and Dalton Leek will also be competing for the Spartans. The 5A State wrestling tournament will be held at Hartman Arena in Park City. The Emporia High matches will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM. On-line at kvoe.com.
Chase County will have 3 wrestlers competing at the 3-2-1A State tournament at Hays.
Chase Owen at 182 pounds was a first place finisher at regionals.
Cory Owen at 145 pounds finished in 4th at regionals.
Cael Budke placed 4th at 160 pounds at regionals.
