A crash in southern Chase County hurt a Wichita woman Saturday morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the wreck happened shortly before 9 am near mile marker 102, or five miles northeast of the Matfield Green service exit. The Highway Patrol’s crash log says the driver, 43-year-old Melissa Woods was southbound during rainfall and was moving too fast for the road conditions. Her car hydroplaned before hitting the center barrier wall, crossing the southbound lanes and going into a ditch.
The crash log says Woods suffered suspected minor injuries. The report does not say whether Woods had to go to a hospital for treatment afterward.
