Wichita State was out scored by Memphis 88-85 Saturday night.
The Shockers held a 16 point first half lead and led 40-36 at halftime. Memphis would build a 13 point lead in the 2nd half. The Shockers cut the lead to 2, 84-82 with 42 seconds to play.
Dexter Dennis led Wichita State in scoring with 17 points. Markis McDuffie added 15 points and Jamarius Burton finished with 10 points. The Shockers are now 13-13 for the season and 6-8 in the American Conference.
