The Emporia Symphony Orchestra will perform a classical concert this evening at Albert Taylor Hall.
The concert will feature pieces from famous composers like Beethoven, Mozart and more. Putting together the different works is a difficult task and tonight’s conductor, Dr. Ramiro Miranda-Rios explains the process.
Featured in the concert will be two soloists, who were awarded this position after winning competitions showing their talents. Dr. Miranda-Rios talks about the evening’s two solo performances.
The Orchestra has been practicing for this concert since the semester began in Jan. The group’s dedication is second-to-none to their performances and the Music Department itself.
Visit Albert Taylor Hall at ESU tonight at 7:30 pm to witness the Emporia Symphony Orchestra’s classical performance. Tickets will be $5 for adults and $4 for students and seniors and can be purchased at the door. For a list of the ESU Music Department’s events, go online to emporia.edu/music.
