The Kansas Jayhawks kept their Big-12 Championship hopes alive with a 64-49 win over Kansas State Monday night.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 10-3 lead on the Jayhawks. Kansas would rally to take a 18-15 lead and never trailed the rest of the night. Kansas Coach Bill Self liked the way his team competed.
Dedric Lawson led Kansas in scoring with 18 points, Devon Dotson added 16 points and Quention Grimes finished with 12 points. Kansas State was led by Kamau Stokes with 12 points. Dean Wade was held to 8 points and Barry Brown 4 points. Kansas State is now tied for first place in the Big-12 standings with Texas Tech. Kansas is a game back.
Kansas is at Oklahoma State Saturday.
Kansas State hosts Baylor Saturday.
