Emporia Police investigators continue their search for a robbery suspect from a week ago.
Capt. Dave DeVries says some leads developed immediately after officers announced the robbery at Max’s BP from around 10:30 pm Feb. 19. However, those did not help solve the case.
Officers have said an unidentified black male went inside the convenience store and demanded cash from the clerk, saying he had a gun. According to police, the clerk handed an unlisted amount of money to the suspect, who then fled on foot.
The suspect’s name has not been released. Descriptive information has not been divulged.
Lyon County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
