Community groups interested in being part of the Emporia Community Foundation’s annual Match Day are running out of time to apply.
The deadline is 5 pm Friday.
Qualifying organizations need to have a maximum operating budget of $150,000 and must detail how the Match Day funding will help the community. Twenty-five slots are available, and all interested community groups have to apply — even the 15 that were grandfathered into the list after the first event six years ago.
Organizations can call the Community Foundation office at 342-9304 or go online to www.emporiacf.org to apply. The Match Day Announcement Celebration is March 27. Match Day will be Veterans Day, 9 am to 7 pm, at Flinthills Mall.
