High school students from Kansas and Missouri are at the Emporia State University campus Thursday for ESU’s Diversity Leadership Summit.
The event is a one-day conference for multicultural high school students. Among the speakers are Shawnee County Sheriff and Emporia State Distinguished Alum Herman Jones and fellow ESU grad Clarissa Carrillo Martinez, who has worked with Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland.
Other activities include workshops, food and scholarship opportunities.
Activities go from 8:30 am to 3 pm at the Memorial Union.
