Sentencings are now next for all five defendants in a drug distribution case that came to light locally last fall.
Seanna Herron pleaded no contest to possession with intent to distribute marijuana recently. Sentencing in her case is April 24.
Incorrect information provided to KVOE News this week indicated Herron had already been sentenced.
Herron was originally charged with drug distribution within 1,000 feet of a school, two counts of drug paraphernalia and other counts. She’s one of five defendants in an overall case that was announced in September, involving alleged drug sales near Emporia Christian School and Sacred Heart School and at least one trip to the Kansas City area to pick up close to a kilogram of methamphetamine.
As far as other defendants in the case:
*Jacob Rodriguez pleaded no contest to distribution and is awaiting sentencing Friday.
*Amanda Alvarado pleaded to methamphetamine possession and aggravated child endangerment. She will be sentenced March 13.
*Luis Guillen recently pleaded to drug possession with intent to distribute and will be sentenced April 16.
*Cole Bowen was convicted of meth possession with intent to distribute and paraphernalia possession. Sentencing in Bowen’s case is March 22.
