The Emporia State mens basketball team is gearing up for the MIAA Tournament. They will play Northeastern State, a team they have defeated twice this season, in the first round Wednesday at 12:00pm.
After missing the MIAA tournament last year Senior Hassan Thomas is looking forward to playing in Municipal Auditorium.
Senior Kooper Glick is also looking forward to playing in the MIAA Tournament.
Coach Craig Doty says they will need to with a sense of urgency.
If the Hornets win their first round game they will play number 1 seed Northwest Missouri State.
The Emporia State women don’t play until Friday when they will face Washburn. Coach Toby Wynn says the next 3 days are big.
The Lady Hornets and Washburn will tip-off at 6pm Friday night.
