In three months, the National Teachers Hall of Fame will begin its formal induction week for its Class of 2019.
Induction announcements began Friday, when Dr. Mary Jo Murray, a 36-year high school math teacher from Palm City, Fla., was honored. Murray has taught at Suncoast High School since 2003, teaching honors calculus and pre-calculus as part of the school’s Math Science Engineering and Computer Science programs. She has also taught at Flager College, Northeast Missouri State University and Northeast Louisiana University.
Four more inductions are coming over the next several weeks. Once again, there will be several days of induction activities in Washington, D.C. The formal induction activities in Emporia will take place June 17-22.
