Two major items will be up for approval during the Emporia City Commission’s action session Wednesday.
First on the agenda will be the potential approval of the new land bank ordinance. Discussions on the land bank have been ongoing for roughly a year and if approved would see the Community Housing Board act as the governing body of the landbank and as such oversee all vacant property currently in the city’s possession.
In other business, commissioners will consider approving an incentive and compliance agreement with Glendo LLC for a $4 million expansion project to Glendo’s manufacturing and classroom facilities. Commissioners also plan to discuss an amendment to the Neighborhood Revitalization Program interlocal agreement.
The meeting will begin at 7 pm inside the municipal courtroom at White Auditorium.
