The Emporia State baseball team completed the sweep of Southwest Baptist with a 10-3 win Sunday.
Southwest Baptist had a 3-0 lead after 3 innings. Emporia State tied the game with 3 runs in the 4th on an error and Tyrus Barclay double.
The Hornets added 3 runs in the 5th on an error and sacrifice fly. In the 9th the Hornets scored 4 runs. Cooper Minnick hit a solo home run, Connor Hurst added a 2 runs home run and Aaron Dees hit a solo home run.
The Hornets improved to 15-9 for the season and are 11-4 in the MIAA. They are in 2nd place in the MIAA standings, 1 game back of Missouri Southern.
They are scheduled to play at doubleheader at Newman Tuesday and Host Missouri Southern in a 3 game series this coming weekend.
