The Emporia State baseball team team plays a non-conference double-header at Newman Tuesday.
The Hornets take a 15-9 record into the doubleheader. Junior Lou Penner, a transfer from Mississippi State, says it has been a fun beginning to the season.
The Hornets have won 11 of their last 14 games. This weekend they host Missouri Southern in a match up of the top two teams in the MIAA standings.
