Formal charges are currently pending after a chase in northern Greenwood County last week.
The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a reported crash involving a dirt bike on Kansas Highway 58 last Friday. As deputies responded, the motorcycle left eastbound on 365th Street just west of Madison. The driver, later identified as Jermey Bailey, allegedly refused to stop and a chase developed.
The pursuit ended about 10 miles east-northeast of Madison when Bailey crashed near CC Road. Bailey was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, flee and elude and leaving the scene of a crash.
