The Kansas City Royals open the 2019 season Thursday when they host the Chicago White Sox.
Manager Ned Yost says its time to start the season.
Yost says he also plans to take advantage of a strong bench.
Brad Keller will be the starting pitcher on opening day for the Royals.
First pitch is set for 3:15. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM beginning at 2:30p.
