The Emporia High girls swim and dive team finished in 6th place out of 12 teams at the Topeka High invitational Thursday.
The Lady Spartans had 1 first place finish, Haylee Weiss in diving. Diver Karalyn Karjala finished 3rd and qualified for state.
Ashlyn Alingh finished 2nd in the 100 butterfly and improved her state consideration time. She also finished in 3rd place in the 50 free with a state consideration time.
The 200 Free Relay team of Emily Leihsing, Ashlyn Alingh, Hailey Williams and Kelsey Boettcher finished in 2nd place with a state consideration time.
The 400 free relay team of Alexis Brown, Ashlyn Alingh, Hailey Williams and Kelsey Boettcher had a state consideration time, finishing in 6th place.
