Funeral services have been announced for former Lyon County Sheriff Cliff Hacker.
Hacker passed away last Saturday at the age of 72. Services will be held at 2 pm Monday at McGilley and Frye Funeral Home in Olathe, KS.
Hacker served as sheriff from 1984 until 2005. Before his time as Lyon County Sheriff, Hacker served in the U.S. Air Force form 1967 to 1976 where he was an avionics instrument repair specialist.
Hacker was also a lifetime member of American Legion Post #5 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post-1980. In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorials be made in his name to the Veteran’s Community Project at 8825 Troost Ave, KCMO 64131.
Memorials may also be left at the funeral home.
