Students at North Lyon County Junior High School in Americus are asking the area to support their blood drive taking place Monday.
The “Pint-Sized Hero” drive goes from 10 am to 4 pm at the school gymnasium. Seventh-grade student Maximus Olson says drives like this are needed.
Seventh-grader Austin Woodrow says there are several reasons why people should take the time to donate blood.
Social studies teacher J.D. Chandley agrees. He says he received a life-saving transfusion nearly 30 years ago.
The drive is being organized through the Civic Action Training Squad, or CATS, elective. For more information, call the school at 620-481-2086 ext. 143.
