11th ranked Missouri Southern broke out the bats Sunday afternoon in a 12-1 run rule win over the Emporia State baseball team.
The Lions out hit the Hornets 17-2. The Hornets avoided the shutout scoring a run in the 5th inning on a sacrifice fly. Coach Seth Wheeler called it a tough day.
The two teams wrap up their 3 game series Monday afternoon with first pitch set for 1pm at the Trusler Sports complex.
