The Friends of the Emporia Public Library is now just days away from its annual Spring Book Sale.
Longtime organizer Dee Schwinn says around 300 boxes of books and other materials will be part of the sale this time.
Library Director Robin Newell calls the event “a treasure hunt” and a community event that everybody can enjoy.
The Spring Book Sale goes from April 6-11. Books and other materials on sale will be full price Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Bag sales begin April 9 with all materials costing $10 a bag. On April 10, a bag of materials is $5. Bags cost $2 on April 11.
