The Emporia High boys golf team opened their season with a 7th place finish out of 13 teams at the Washburn Rural Invitational Thursday.
Individually Gentry Scheve finished in 4th place with a 75. The Spartans are slated to play in the Southern Lyon County Invitational Friday at the Emporia Golf Course.
